Here at Gamezebo we think games for charity are great. That’s why we were excited to learn about Beebo Deluxe, an upcoming game from Encore that was created to help preserve the health of honeybees and other important pollinators.
Pollinators are creatures that transfer pollen between seed plants, and they’re a vital part of plant reproduction. Types of pollinators include birds, butterflies, beetles and mosquitoes, but the most recognized one is of course the bee. Unfortunately, due to land development, pollution and pesticides, the world is losing pollinators at an alarming rate, according to the Pollinator Partnership, who partnered with Encore to create Beebo Deluxe.
In Beebo Deluxe, Beebo the bee travels the world to help his friends build their hives by completing match-three challenges that involve collecting and dropping colored honey drops. There will be 64 levels to explore across 8 locales, along with puzzle mini-games and unlockable bonus games, power-ups, and the opportunity to buy and sell items on "BeeBuy."
According to Encore, a portion of the game’s proceeds will be donated to the Pollinator Partnership to help educate the public about the importance of pollinators, and fund research to aid honeybee health and fight colony collapse disorder.
